Our Home is a lovely old brick Georgian Colonial. When we decided to renovate the outdated kitchen and add a family room we knew we had to choose a builder who understood the importance of matching the addition to the existing structure to maintain the integrity of our home. Charlie and his team at Coulter Construction did just that. Exterior features like windows, along with brick and mortar colors, were carefully chosen to blend the old with the new. At our request, original windows were kept intact whenever possible and we are particularly pleased that four were salvaged. On the inside, crown molding was matched to the original and we were able to keep an existing fireplace and brick hearth. We now feel we have the best of both worlds... An old home filled with character and charm combined with a beautiful modern kitchen and family room that meets all our needs. It was a pleasure to work with Coulter Construction and we would use them again.

Charlie Coulter has been a pleasure to work with. He and the architect worked with us to develop an addition suitable for our needs and in keeping with the existing structure. In the end, one wouldn't know that the addition wasn't original to our home. Charlie expects the highest quality of work from subcontractors and will not accept work that isn't up to the highest standards. Everyone on his tem was pleasant to be around. At the end of each work day, Charlie made sure that the area was cleaned up and left neat. Above all Charlie was always available, essentially " on call" seven days a week. I am so happy with my new building and what a pleasure it was to work with Charlie Coulter of Coulter Construction Company. I had been considering a new building for several years and had heard what a stressful experience it could be. But once I brought Charlie on board things could not have gone more smoothly. When i decided to move forward with the new facility I hired an architect and we designed the building and site without the input of a contractor. after finishing the plans we put them out to bid with several commercial contractors, but when we received their bids they were all at least thirty percent more then I had budgeted. I called Charlie and asked if he would take a look at the plans and give me his opinion. He felt that the architect had done a great job but with a few minor structural and design changes we were able to get the project back on budget. When I hired Charlie I never expected him to actually be on the job every day, but from the first day to the last. he was right there overseeing every last detail. Everything seemed to flow smoothly and his sub contractors were extremely professional. I felt that everyone was working as hard as they could to see that they finished my project on time. When we finished, it was in much less time than anyone though it could be done. Charlie has a great deal of pride in anything he builds and I always felt he was looking out for my best interests. Although all we needed was a simple wall added to our already finished basement, Charlie Coulter came highly recommended. As with all simple projects, you always find out you might need to do more then you originally planned. Charlie was very helpful at pointing out a leak coming from our upstairs kitchen and even went as far as securing a plumber to immediately do the repairs. Upon further inspection of an existing wall Charlie and his team found mold growing on insulation that had occurred because the concrete was never sealed properly. This again was remedied very quickly and professionally. Although these problems arose, Charlie and his team were always up to the challenge and still finished on time and worked with us on our budget. What surprised us most was that even though this was initially a small job, Charlie was on site everyday to ensure things were up to his standard and explain to us our best course of action. We are currently planning a kitchen remodel as well as a new back deck next summer and Coulter Construction will be our first and only call.
